CANADIAN MENS WORLD CUP ROSTER ANNOUNCED
Field Hockey Canada and men’s national team head coach Alan Brahmst recently announced the team of 18 players who will represent Canada at the 12th World Cup of Hockey to be held in Delhi, India February 28th – March 13th. With an average team age of 27 years and 114 international matches, Canada brings to their fifth World Cup tournament an appropriate blend of veteran leadership and youth. SFHA is proud to launch this new program, specialized for youth 5-10 years of age, and designed by the top coaches and officials in the country. The 10-week program will be offered once per week starting in April, 2010. Contact the SFHA office for more information and check back soon to register.

Pense Community School. Register by email to be eligible for free registration in a paid program. CURRENT INDOOR PROGRAMS Regina Co-Ed Indoor U18 (High School) League
What are the details?
- Mixed (male and female) teams at Regina High Schools.
- Compete against other high schools.
- Five-on-five games (Max three males on the court at once).
- No Tryouts or cuts.
- If there is strong interest at your school, multiple teams will be formed.
- One to two games per week
- Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, 6:15-7:00pm or 7:15-8:00pm
- April 19 – May 26.
- Will also schedule two team practices at the start of the season.
- All events held at St Martins Parish Hall 4720 Castle Road.
- Team schedules will be released once all teams have registered.
- Costs
- $70/player (Membership fee $40, Program fee $20, and jersey $10).
- Sticks provided.
- Mouth guards and shin guards are mandatory, and can be purchased through SFHA.
Deadline to finalize a team for your school and identify a team captain is April 12th. To register, download a Membership form and send it in to the office. Contact us for more information.
Under 14 (PYG) Boys Team (born in 1996-1999)
This is the youngest level of competitive programming offered by SFHA, with a boys team being organized this winter. The teams practice once per week and condition once per week starting November 22, 2009. The teams will also compete against Team Manitoba January 31 in Brandon, which leads up to the U14 PYG in Regina February 20-21, 2010 against Teams Manitoba, Calgary, and Edmonton.

Under 18 Girls and Boys Provincial Teams (born in 1992-1995)
This is the elite competitve program offered by SFHA, with boys and girls teams being organized this winter. The teams practice up to twice per week and condition once per week starting November 22, 2009. The teams will also compete against Team Manitoba January 31 in Brandon, which leads up to the National Indoor U18 Championship in Winnipeg March 25-28, 2010 against teams across Canada.
